Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
✅ Good news: Fuyano uses a privacy-first approach and requires NO consent banner for cookies.
1. What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as the display theme, the language, etc.) for a given period.
2. Cookies Used by Fuyano
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies No consent
Fuyano uses only local storage technologies — localStorage on the site and the web application, encrypted MMKV storage (AES-128) in the mobile application — to remember your preferences. This data is stored solely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | localStorage (site) | Permanent | Storing your theme preference (light/dark) |
| fuyano:public-report:draft-idempotency-key | localStorage (site) | Until the report is sent | Idempotency key of the reporting form (DSA Art. 16), which prevents the same notification from being recorded twice |
| fuyano-web-language | localStorage (web application) | Permanent | Storing your interface language |
| @app_language_v2 | Encrypted MMKV (mobile application) | Permanent | Storing your interface language, device scope |
Note: localStorage is not a cookie in the strict sense, but a local storage technology which does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.

- No Facebook Pixel
- No social network cookies
- No remarketing cookies
❌ No third-party cookies

4. Analytics and Audience Measurement
4.1 Cloudflare server traffic statistics Privacy-first
Fuyano injects no analytics script and no measurement tag into your pages. Traffic statistics are derived on the server side by Cloudflare from network access logs, without cookies and without any code executed in your browser.
Characteristics:
- ✅ No cookie placed on your device
- ✅ No script or tag loaded in the page
- ✅ No cross-site tracking
- ✅ Aggregated and pseudonymised data only
- ✅ No personal identification
- ✅ No storage of the full IP address
4.2 Data Measured
The aggregated server statistics relate solely to:
- Pages viewed (URLs)
- Number of requests and visitors (aggregated, anonymous)
- Country / region of origin (approximate detection derived from the IP address, not precise geolocation)
- Device and browser type (inferred from the request header)
- Referrer (the site you come from)
This data is used solely to:
- Improve the performance of the site
- Understand the overall audience (anonymous statistics)
- Detect and fix technical problems and abuse
5. Managing Your Preferences
5.1 Light/Dark Theme
You can change the theme of the site at any time by clicking the 🌙/☀️ icon in the site header.
5.2 Deleting Local Data
To delete the data stored locally (theme preference):
- Chrome/Edge: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All
5.3 Blocking Analytics (Optional)
Even though Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-friendly, you can block all analytics scripts using:
- Browser extensions: uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, etc.
- "Do Not Track" (DNT) mode: Enabled in your browser settings
6. Security Cookies (Cloudflare)
Cloudflare, our host and security provider, may place technical cookies in order to:
| Name | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| __cflb | Session | Load balancing (distribution of traffic between servers) |
| __cf_bm | 30 minutes | Anti-bot and anti-DDoS protection (security) |
| cf_clearance | 30 minutes | Validation after a security challenge (if a bot is detected) |
Note: These cookies are strictly necessary for the security and the operation of the site. They collect no personal data and do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.
For more information: Cloudflare Cookies documentation
7. GDPR and ePrivacy Compliance
Why does Fuyano not need a cookie banner?
Under the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC) and the GDPR, websites may use cookies and similar technologies without prior consent if they are:
- Strictly necessary for the operation of the site
- Purely technical (user preferences, security, load balancing)
- Without advertising tracking or profiling
This is the case for Fuyano: we use only strictly necessary technologies and privacy-first server traffic statistics without cookies.
7.1 Legal Basis
- Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: Exemption for strictly necessary cookies
- Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: Legitimate interest for security and performance
- CNIL guidelines: Preference and security cookies do not require consent
8. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to modify this cookie policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page with a new update date.
Should we add cookies requiring consent (for example, marketing cookies), we will put in place a GDPR-compliant consent banner.
