Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 September 2026

By creating a Fuyano account, you accept the set formed by these General Terms, the UGC Rules and the Privacy Policy.

UGC Rules — what is allowed or prohibited in content.
Privacy Policy — which data is processed and why.

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of the Fuyano application.

The application and the fuyano.com website are published and operated by FUYANO, a société par actions simplifiée à associé unique with a share capital of €1, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 108 072 430, whose registered office is at 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris (France). The contract is concluded between you and this company. Full contact details: Legal notices.

1.1 Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fuyano. If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United Kingdom or in Switzerland, you must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by your country to consent to the processing of your personal data. By creating an account, you declare on your honour that you are of the required age.

2. Account and access

3. User content

4. Prohibited uses

It is prohibited in particular to:

Zero tolerance. Fuyano applies zero tolerance towards objectionable content (hateful, violent, non-consensual sexual content, harassment…) and towards any user engaging in abusive behaviour. Reporting content or an account, and blocking a user, are both available directly within the app. Each report is processed within 24 hours and may result in removal of the content concerned and exclusion of its author (see section 5).

5. Content moderation (DSA Article 14)

In accordance with Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), we inform you of the restrictions, policies, procedures, measures and tools used for content moderation purposes on Fuyano.

5.1 Types of moderation measures

In the event of a breach of these terms or of the UGC Rules, we may apply one or more of the following measures, in a manner proportionate to the seriousness and the recurrence of the breach:

5.2 Moderation procedure

Moderation takes place in the following cases:

Human decision. Any restrictive moderation measure (removal, suspension) is taken by a human operator after examination of the reported content and of its context. No moderation decision is fully automated. Automated tools (rate limiting, anti-spam) serve solely to filter out manifest abuse upstream; any contestable decision remains settled by a human.

Response time. Reports are processed within 24 hours from their receipt. Each notification receives an acknowledgement of receipt, then a reasoned decision sent to the reporting party and, where applicable, to the user targeted by the measure.

Notification of the decision (DSA Article 17). When a moderation measure is applied to you, you receive a notification by push notification and/or by email, stating: the nature of the measure, the ground based on these terms or on the UGC Rules, the geographical scope where applicable, and the means of redress.

5.3 Internal means of redress (DSA Article 17 §3 and Article 20)

If you consider that a moderation measure concerning you is unjustified or disproportionate, you have a right of internal redress for six (6) months from the decision.

To exercise this right, contact our single point of contact (SPOC) at support@fuyano.com, stating the identifier of the contested decision and the grounds for your appeal. Your request will be re-examined by a human operator other than the one who took the initial decision, and you will receive a reasoned reply within a reasonable time.

Out-of-court dispute settlement (DSA Article 21). In the event of persistent disagreement after the internal appeal, you may refer the matter to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, the list of which is kept up to date by the French Digital Services Coordinator (Arcom).

5 bis. Content display (DSA Article 27)

In accordance with Article 27 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), we inform you of the main parameters used to order the content presented to you.

Fuyano displays publications and messages in a purely chronological order (most recent first). No algorithmic recommender system, no personalised ranking and no advertising profiling is used to determine what you see.

The only criteria for including a publication in your feed are objective: an account you follow, the public visibility of the publication, or a message sent directly by another user. You retain full control of your feed by following or unfollowing accounts, and no engagement signal (likes, viewing time, shares) alters the display order.

5 ter. One-to-one audio/video calls

5 ter.1 Encryption and confidentiality of media

One-to-one calls are encrypted end to end at the transport level via SRTP/DTLS. In direct peer-to-peer mode, the audio/video streams do not pass through Fuyano's servers. In the event of a TURN relay (when network conditions require it), the packets pass through encrypted: no byte of media is decrypted or recorded on the server side.

5 ter.2 No server-side monitoring

Fuyano does not listen to, intercept, record or analyse the content of calls (audio or video) on its infrastructure. Only technical metadata (duration, type, timestamps — see section 3.6 of the Privacy Policy) is retained for service purposes.

5 ter.3 Restriction to mutual friends

The call feature is reserved for pairs of users in a mutual friendship relationship (confirmed two-way contacts). It is not possible to call a user who has not accepted your friend request.

5 ter.4 Prohibited uses during calls

During a Fuyano call, it is prohibited in particular to:

5 ter.5 Reporting an abusive call

If you have been the victim of abusive behaviour during a call, you can report it directly from the end-of-call screen in the application (Call Ended → Report call) or through our public reporting form (DSA Art. 16).

6. Service availability

Fuyano is an evolving MVP. We may modify, suspend or discontinue certain features.

7. Liability

Fuyano implements reasonable means to ensure the continuity of the service, without any guarantee that it will be free from errors or interruptions.

8. Privacy policy

The processing of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
